Ingredients |
- 2 angel food cakes, torn into pieces
- 2 (1.5 ounce) boxes of fat-free / sugar-free instant vanilla pudding
- 2 quarts fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 pints fresh blueberries
- 18 ounces cool whip
|
|
Preparation |
This trifle is made by layering the ingredients in a
glass serving bowl. I use a pretty punch bowl.
-
Using 1% or skim milk, prepare the pudding mix according
to the directions; set aside.
-
Place one third of the torn angel food cake at the
bottom of your glass bowl.
-
Spoon one third of the pudding over the cake, followed
by one third of the strawberries, then one third of the blueberries and
one third of the cool whip.
-
Repeat this process two more times.
***You can't make a mistake and can vary the layers.

Have fun with this by trying different fruits or using seasonal
fruits you have on hand.
For example, my family loves when I slice up a couple of bananas
(sprinkle them with fresh lime juice so they do not turn brown) and add
them as a layer.
Have a couple of left over nectarines? Chop them up into bite size
pieces and add them to the trifle.
Your options are limitless!
ENJOY!!!
