Potato Au Gratin

Ingredients
  • 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 can plus ½ cup milk
  • 1 package of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded.
  • ½ stick butter, cubed
 
Preparation
  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • In a 2 quart oven safe pan layer potatoes and onions.
  • Mix milk and soup together and pour over potatoes and onions.
  • Top with cubed butter and shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
 
Comments
I usually double this recipe for my family and use a 9 x 13 pan and bake for 1½ hours.
